John Cotnam and Barbara (Dolan) Cotnam (Mary Ann's GGF - GGM)

Our focus now turns to John Cotnam and Barbara (Dolan) Cotnam (Mary Ann's Grand Parents) who are George Delbert Cotnam parents. John was born November 5, 1858 in Ireland and came to Canada and married Barbara Dolan who was born July 10 1860 and they had a family of four children.

They had a seventh child, Mary Joseph who died premature on February 15, 1931. Theresa died immediately after giving birth and they were both buried together the same day in St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery.

a. Donna (McWatters) McKenzie was born in Timmins, Ontario on February 16, 1942. She married Jerry MacKenzie on October 11, 1968 in Toronto, who was born June 29, 1932 in Pictou, Nova Scotia. Donna passed away on November 7, 2008.
i. Brian MacKenzie was born August 20, 1960 in Toronto.
ii. Robert MacKenzie was born April 21, 1971 in Toronto married Sherry Walsh who was born Sept 3, 1971 in Toronto. They got married October 9, 1999 and have two children.
aa. Madison MacKenzie was born in Bradford, Ontario on August 3, 2001.
bb. Avery MacKenzie was born in Bradford, Ontario on March 8, 2006.
b. James (Jim) McWatters was born in Toronto, Ontario on April 12, 1944. He married Susan Bird who was born July 20, 1943 in Toronto on September 7, 1968 and they had two children. Jim passed away on October 27, 2008.
i. Kathy McWatters was born in Oakville, Ontario on July 20, 1965. She married Mike Lynch and had one child then Kathy had a second child with Wayne Hunter.

c. Gerry Wilson was born in Pembroke on August 14, 1952 and married Debbie Williams and had one child. Gerry then married Susan Nelson in 1981. She was born June 3, 1954 in Lefleche, Saskatchewan and had 2 children from a previous marriage. Susan passed away on April 8, 2006.
